  • MSBS, Mid-South Building Services, Inc. was established and licensed in the state of Mississippi on December 1, 1997. A new concept for facility maintenance was introduced to the coast, and during our first eleven years of operation we have become one of its largest service providers.
  • The MSBS management team represents over 100 years of experience in the building service industry. We carry certifications from: 3M, Johnson Chemicals, National Laboratory, SSS, Interface Carpet, Betco, and Clark. The president, operations manager, and the area managers are retired military veterans, and we are certified as master trainers through the military. MSBS is listed with the Defense Logistics Agency, the Small Business Administration, and the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). We know what to do, when to do it, and how to teach our employee's the right way to do it. The entire management team are all retired military.
  • Customer retention is our number one priority. We can only keep an account if we provide a service that exceeds our customer’s expectations. Our employees are required to submit to a criminal investigation and a drug screening test prior to training. All supervisors and employees are trained in safety, equipment operations, chemical usage, and accident prevention. I must also point out we did not have a single reportable OSHA 200 accident in the years 1998 through 2007. Our Insurance Mod Rate is .8. This is quite noteworthy because we have over 125 employees working from state line to state line in South Mississippi. Our customer retention rate for the past two calendar years was 98%. I can only explain this by saying we care about our customers. We try to develop a partnership rather than a relationship. MSBS is committed to providing the most qualified personnel available to service our customer's facilities and I will assure you that we will deliver the very best service available today, tomorrow, and forever.

  • The impressive company growth is due in part to the senior management team, crafting a vision of business expansion based on delivering real value to their customers. Other factors of the growth results is based on a well-trained team throughout the organization from the field service staff and all the way up to the CEO, President, Operations Manager, and many of the area managers. Management endorsement includes demonstrated credentials is many of the senior team being graduates of the five-star training program, certified through the University of Texas.
  • With MSBS headquarters in Gulfport, MS, access to all MS Gulf Coast areas is easily accomplished.
  • The fundamental differentiator of the MSBS success story is the combined resources which offer collaborative and effective results. This includes applying supervision, training, quality control, and continual refinement of a service delivery process to achieve repeatable results. Complimentary to this differentiator is the focus on our key resource, our employees. We take pride in recognizing employee performance through an employee appreciation program, and additionally through promoting pay raises and bonuses for exceptional results.
  • MSBS is a provider for building services with comprehensive list of core competencies. As a full service provider, MSBS performs the majority of services with internal company staffing. Outsourcing does occur in some cases where specific skilled/certified labor requirements are needed such as fire marshals, welders, glass cutters, construction contrast work, brick layers, and HVAC installers. Outsourcing of these types of services represents less than five percent (5%) of services performed for MSBS customers. Any outsourcing of services is transparent to our customers. The fulfillment of meeting delivery requirements for accomplishing services remains with MSBS. All subcontractors are required to meet or exceed the service specifications they are presented and comply with. MSBS follows up by inspecting all subcontractor work with a management team from beginning to end. If issues arise, MSBS handles all customer interface communications and issues direction to address any subcontracting problems and resolves them immediately. By MSBS maintaining management control, the customer deals with a single entity. Over the years, customers have recognized the degree of thoroughness of MSBS management philosophy and continue to expect satisfactory results.
